Killer Harmonies

Twelve sides of close-harmony doo-wop with the sweetness kept and the mercy taken out. The Nightgaunts sing the way the old vocal groups sang, under a streetlight and close to the microphone, about love and about dying, and often about both at once. Pressed to acetate in 1958 and shelved, the names of the singers lost or withheld. Play it at the dark end of the record hop.
