The Innsmouth Sessions

H.P. Lovecraft's Innsmouth cycle adapted for Delta blues, rooted in the Mississippi delta tradition.
The whole record keeps to one stretch of ruined coast. Lovecraft's Innsmouth cycle set to Delta blues, cut the way you would cut a confession, with the tide coming in under every track. The Gilman House after dark. Obed's gold and what it bought. The look that runs in certain families and shows up late. Between the Innsmouth material the Archive has set a few neighbours, a bargain made at a crossroads, a brother kept in the attic, the whippoorwills that call for a soul away at Dunwich. Twelve sides, forty-one minutes, and the sea the whole time. Some of those families are still down there. The record does not pretend otherwise.
