The Miskatonic Sessions

The Cthulhu Mythos and weird fiction adapted for big band swing, in the idiom of the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Before the war, before the bombs, the dance bands played and the horror hid in the arrangement. These ten sides take the Cthulhu Mythos and the weird tales around it and set them where a 1929 ballroom would have put them, in brass and reeds and a rhythm section that will not stop smiling. A swing number for the painter whose models were a little too accurate. A hot step for the thing that wears a thousand shapes and sells tickets to the end of the world. The band knew. You can hear it in the way they play through it anyway. This is the Archive's oldest idiom, the sound of a culture dancing with its back to the window.
